We have been using this stove/oven in an outdoor kitchen for almost 2 years now and it is working perfectly. We have higher BTU Camp Chef cookers for projects that require larger boiling capacity, but the value of this stove/oven is hard to beat. There isn't much that can't be cooked and all you need are some smaller sized (9x11) cookie sheets and/or cast iron pans. An added benefit is the unit is designed so that the majority of the external heat is vented upward, which means it can be used in close quarters. We love it!

I’ve only used this oven once when we took it camping right after we got it, but it worked perfect! We hooked ours up to our RV and baked biscuits and cornbread. Bakes as good as my oven at home! Great investment. We will be taking this every time we go camping! It is very easy to use and figure out the temperature. I had no problems at all! It is a tad heavy but it is larger than I was expecting. Love everything though!

Got this because our power goes out throughout the winter, sometimes for days or weeks. I boiled pasta and melted homemade cheese sauce on the range and then baked the mac and cheese and cookies in the oven on out first trial. A separate thermometer for inside the oven is a must-have. I learned to cook as a kid on a stove with an old oven you had to guess at the temp, eyeball the food, and manually re-adjust the temp knob as food baked, so cooking with the Camp Chef was not completely foreign. It took a bit longer to bake things, the cookies were somewhere around 20 minutes, but it gets there eventually. Totally worth it to have hot food when the electricity is out. A quarter sheet fits in great.

Remember to check under the lift-up spill guard oven bottom before using. Our instruction manual slid under there during shipping and [cough-cough] someone turned it on and burned it slightly upon first use. It probably says not to do that in the instruction manual, but it wasn't visible at the time. We were unable to find the booklet until we noticed the smell and smoke from it burning. Camp Chef sent us a new manual.

I bought this to make an outdoor kitchen on my lanai. It is perfect! It lights every time. I can fit 2 full sized skillets on the burners (bacon and eggs for the family) and i have used the far to bake a cake, cinnamon rolls, and meatloaf...it keeps me from heating up my house in the summer. I absolutely love it.
